The Oxigen for Cuba campaign allowed Belgian citizens to learn about the impact of the US blockade against Cuba, a policy that is doomed, Wim Leysens, one of the sponsors of this initiative, said on Wednesday.
In an interview with Prensa Latina, the representative of the Belgian coordinator against the blockade against Cuba expresed satisfaction with the range and reactions arisen during the campaign, which ends on Wednesday after seven months of activity.

According to Leysens, those stories allowed Belgians to approach Cuba’s reality, marked by many limitations, but also by the resistance and optimism of a people in the face of US aggresiveness.
There have been many messages of admiration and solidarity with Cuba, and repudiation of the blockade and the tightening by the Trump administration of a measure that was really cruel even before he took office, he said.
