Tokyo, Jan 28 (Prensa Latina) Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe today proposed a meeting with the leader of the Democratic People”s Republic of Korea (DPRK), Kim Jong-un, to address differences and restore diplomatic relations.
Speaking at the opening of the parliamentary session, Kim Jong-un expressed willingness to end ‘mutual mistrust’ in order to resolve the denuclearization of the neighboring peninsula and other issues between the two countries.
Japan wishes to take a step forward after South Korea and the United States, move forwards toward the rapprochement with the DPRK through bilateral meetings, since last year, high-level reciprocal visits and even summits between the rulers.
