Beirut, Apr 12 (P L) The International Tadamoun Association has denounced in Beirut that in 2018 Israeli occupying forces detained roughly 6,000 Palestinians, including a 16-year old boy who sentenced to 35 years in jail.
In a report handed over to Prensa Latina, the NGO refers that 980 Palestinian minors are incarcerated in Israeli jails, and they were fined with 270,000 dollars in all. The incarceration is accompanied with the demolition of houses of the detainees and hounding of their families.

With view to the Day of Palestinian Prisoners next Wednesday, Tadamoun warns that the excesses of the Israeli usurper are generating a revolting atmosphere within the prisons in demand of better human conditions.

Hundreds of prisoners began a hunger strike to demand the elimination of carcinogenic equipment from the facilities and their families be given permission to visit them, among other demands.

The NGO’s report denounces that there thousands of prisoners today in a regime that does not distinguish among women, minors and elderly who are subject to ill treatment, physical and psychological torture.
