Hanoi, Oct 3 (Prensa Latina) Vietnam and Cuba have made official their cooperation topics for 2017-2018 by signing today the protocol of the 35th Session of the Intergovernmental Commission between the two nations.
The document was penned by the Cuban minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, Rodrigo Malmierca, and Vietnamese Minister of Construction Pham Hong Ha.

The two co-chairs of the Intergovernmental Commission acknowledged the work of the experts from both countries to achieve this result and agreed that the resulting evaluation makes it possible to affirm that bilateral ties are in excellent condition.

Malmierca and Hong Ha also agreed on the need to further strengthen economic ties and cooperationto bring them to the level of exceptional political relations between the two countries.

Shortly after, Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc received Malmierca, Ambassador Lianys Torres and several members of the Cuban and Vietnamese delegations that participated in the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission. The prime minister noted that he felt optimistic about the future of relations between the two countries and assured that strengthening them would meet the expectations of the Communist Party, the Government and the people of Vietnam.

Phuc pointed out that he was aware of the work of the 35th Session of the Intergovernmental Commission and commented that the satisfactory work done by the cooperation mechanism will contribute to strengthening bilateral ties in all areas.

Malmierca acknowledged the facilities provided by Vietnam for the efficient performance of that body and expressed Cuba’s commitment to implement the agreements established by the corresponding protocol.
