The meeting will reaffirm Latin America’s support for the Bolivarian Revolution and the democratically elected government of Venezuela, and will also discuss the illegal attacks led by the right wing in Venezuela with imperialist support, Fernando Gonzalez, president of the Cuban Institute of Solidarity with the Peoples, said in a statement.

Gonzalez said the event will strengthen regional dialogue and raise the level of consensus on issues of common interest.

During the event, El Salvador and Cuba will also discuss ways to support the revolution and exchange ideas on how to face the current challenged faced by the Latin American continent.

Among the many events planned include a march starting from the central Simon Bolivar Park to the Jose Marti Square, to remember the beginning of the Cuban Revolution, when a small group of revolutionaries led by Fidel Castro attacked the Moncada Barracks, a military barrack in Santiago de Cuba named after the General Guillermón Moncada, a hero of the War of Independence on July 26, 1953.

Many of the official meetings will take place at the Studies Center in El Salvador. The series of events will conclude with a resolution to integrate the people of Central America as they show their solidarity with Cuba.
