Juba, Jul 4 (PL)Commanders and other leaders are among the more than 700 members of the Boko Haram armed group who handed in their weapons a few hours ago, announced the Nigerian army in a communique circulated here today.
Massive surrender came after constant bombing of locations suspected of harboring terrorists, added the text according to which one of the 225 most prominent members of the terrorist body appears among them.

So far many of them have made very useful revelations; We hope that in the next few days others will come out of their hideouts to surrender their weapons, always according to the military dispatch.

Last Wednesday the head of Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau, denied in an online filming, allegations of the authorities saying that group passed away.

We were responsible for the last week attack on a caravan of vehicles in (Damboa city), where two people were killed and 16 women were captured, among them suspects of being police officers to whom Shekau described in the record as ‘slaves that God has granted us.’
The convoy was guarded by security forces and in which mourners were traveling to attend the funeral in the locality of Maiduguri of a policewoman killed in a clash with the group.

This action shows that the government’s assessments that Boko Haram is being wiped out are lies, declared the ringleader, whose group swore allegiance to Islamic state and since that changed its name to Wilayat Gharb Ifriquiya (West African Province in Arabic).
