The Member States of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) will meet with the purpose of uniting efforts to face the challenges of sustainable development, climate change and peace, the President of El Salvador, Salvador Sánchez Cerén, noted on his arrival at Havana’s José Martí International Airport this Friday.

Cuba is the ideal scenario for the 7th Summit, with the aim of uniting the capacities of each country to ensure the development and progress of our peoples, he commented on being received by María Esther Reus González, Cuban minister of Justice.

On behalf of the Salvadoran people and government, Sánchez Cerén sent greetings to the people of Cuba, Raúl and Fidel Castro.

The Salvadoran Presidentwill participate in the meeting of Heads of State and/or Government, the highest level segment of the 7th ACS Summit this Saturday, June 4, where the Havana Declaration and Plan of Action 2016-2018 are scheduled to be approved.
