Business leaders from Latin America, Europe and Asia are planning to attend Cuba’s 2nd Congress of Fashion, Furniture & Interior Design , Fimae 2016, scheduled to take place this coming June.
Suppliers from these regions will participate in the event at Havana’s Convention Center June 21-22, which is among activities taking place as part of the country’s Light Industry International Convention, Cubaindustria 2016. Additionally scheduled is an exhibit of Cuba’s export product lines at the Pabexpo fairgrounds, from the 20th through the 24th, where domestic industries can also see what is available to replace imports.
Mercedes Díaz, president of the event’s organizing committee, reported that several panels on the development of the cosmetics industry are scheduled, in addition to special activities related to furniture and fashion.
The event will provide an opportunity for national and international business leaders to interact, along with representatives from Cuba’s universities, cooperatives and research centers involved in light industry.
